Pilgrims: Entering Grades 3 & 4    Cost: $165

Spend two nights with nine other campers and your counselor in a cabin.  During the day you and your counselor will have Bible study, go swimming, make a crafts and go on a pony ride. You'll close your evening with a campfire.  Please note pick up and drop off times: Group one will arrive Sunday afternoon and departs at 6:00pm Tuesday.  Group two arrives Wednesday and departs on Friday afternoon.  See the 2008 summer schedule for weeks offered.

Seekers: Entering Grade 4    Cost: $300

Come for a week packed with fun.  You'll stay in a cabin with your counselor and fellow campers. 

 

Art Camp: Entering Grades 4, 5, 6     Cost: $300

Come explore God's beautiful creation with art teacher and artist Karen Fitzsimons.  While hiking we will work on drawing techniques by doing nature studies.  We will learn how to paint a landscape and we will set up still lifes from natural items we find on our hikes.  We'll also participate in all the fun camp activities like Bible study, worship, swimming, and horseback riding.  Dates: June 22-27, 2008  

Pathfinders: Entering Grade 5    Cost: $300

In this program you stay in platform tents that have beds in them.  You'll cook some of your meals over a fire with your village

Wagoneers: Entering Grade 6    Cost: $300

Spend the week living in a wagon with 6 friends and your counselor.  In the wagon village you get to cook your meals together as a cabin group.  Yum, Yum!  You'll be surprised at what you can cook over a fire.

Discoverers: Entering Grade 7    Cost: $300

This week you'll be moving into a Frontier Town just like they did in the Old West.  Your meals will be cooked over wood cook stoves and enjoyed in your very own mess hall!  You'll of course still participate in all the usual camp activities.  On Wednesday night you'll have a special overnight camp-out with the horses. You won't want to miss out on this exciting week!

Settlers: Entering Grade 8    Cost: $300

You're special thing for the week will be spending two nights out of camp along the Mississippi backwaters.  You'll canoe and cook your meals on the open fire.  You're last day there you'll canoe downstream to be picked up and brought back to camp.

Theatre Camp  Grade 7-9    Cost: $300

If you are interested in drama, love acting and enjoy being a part of a play, this is a great place to learn more and try new things.  Don't miss this week!  During the week we will
·       develop and practice skills through theatre activities and games,
·       prepare a short play to be presented for the entire camp on Friday,
·       dramatize scripture,
·       and explore set and costume related to the play and Christ Hike.
The mornings will be spent on theatre skills and games, Bible study, and rehearsing our play. The afternoon is for all of the usual Sugar Creek activities: horseback riding, swimming, arts and crafts and more. The evenings will include preparing for the Christ Hike, worship, and campfire.  Date: July 27-Aug. 1, 2008

Our artist-in-residence for the week is Stacey Parkhurst Meyer. She has a B.A. in theatre and a Master Degree in education. Stacey has over twelve years experience as a director of plays and musicals in high schools and with middle school students and community members. Best of all, Stacey loves Sugar Creek.

Confirmation Camp: Entering Grades 7 & 8    Cost: $300

Your pastor will pick the week your church is to come.  You'll do all the regular camp things and have some time to spend meeting with your pastor. 
Dates: June 15-20, and July 27-Aug. 1, 2008

Pedal & Paddle: Entering Grades 8 & 9    Cost: $310

This is an out of camp program where you will spend two days biking the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail and two day canoeing down the Kickapoo River.  Along the way you'll play games, do Bible study and have lots of fun!  You are welcome to bring your own bike or a bike will be supplied for you.  You must bring your own bike helmet.

Pioneers: Entering Grades 9-12     Cost: $300

Camping, canoeing and horseback riding all a few of things you will do in the "little bit of everything" program.  A great chance for fun, fellowship and spiritual growth in the small group of 15.  Dates: July 20-25 or August 3-8

Riverboaters:  Entering Grades 9-12    Cost: $330

You won't want to miss out on this popular senior high program.  You'll spend Monday to Thursday in a house boat with 9 other campers and two staff cruising the Mississippi.  Campfire on the sandbars, Bible study and worships on the beaches, will all be a part of the fun.  Sunday and Thursday nights are spent at Sugar Creek.

Hands On: Entering Grades 9-12    Cost: $165

This is a great opportunity to serve.  At this week long servant camp you'll get your hands dirty and sweaty by working to help make some improvements at Sugar Creek.  It's a great way to give a little something back to camp.  Of course you'll also get to go swimming and do some of the other fun camp things. June 15-20,2008

Junior Wranglers: Entering Grades 10-12     Cost:$300

Get your boots on for a hands on experience working with the horses.  You'll work with the camp wranglers cleaning out the barn, caring for and saddling the horses, and getting rides going.  Maximum of three JW's per session.

Staff in Training: Entering Grades 11-12    Cost: $300 for two weeks

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be on staff at Sugar Creek.   This is your chance to find out.  You'll spend two weeks at camp learning the basic of being a camp staff person.  We also have a special session for those who have already attended one year of Staff in Training.  (Go home each Friday and return on Sunday) 

To Register: 

Complete a registration form and send to Sugar Creek with a $50 deposit.  Sugar Creek does not register by phone or email.  It is based on a first come first served mailed-in registration. Please call us if you have any questions.

NEW "Bring a Friend" Discount.  Bring any NEW friend (not a sibling) to camp with you and each of you will receive $10 off your registration fee. (Friend has to be someone that never came to camp before.)
